An idea starts to develop
Herbert Laßnig drew the initial few lines of an innovative idea. The first pool was put onto paper.
An innovative Carinthian company
In 2006 Herbert Laßnig laid down the foundation for our undertaking. He did this with the innovative and patented product from wood which lit up the eyes of our customers. Since then Holc natural pools have been available in all sizes and designs and we have made ourselves the name of being Austrian’s largest natural pool manufacturer.

Herbert Laßnig is the founder and managing director of the Holc Laßnig GmbH and heavily bonded with the southern Carinthian region. He was born on a mountain farm near Völkermarkt, learned the trade of a carpenter and qualified as master carpenter. He is much in demand as a structural and wood construction technician. He also acts as an authorised expertise for wood construction, is active in networking and wood research, and is tireless when it comes to the care and support of our customers.

Our Holc natural pools give our customers a lot of pleasure for a lot of time. Wood is a natural raw material. This we use to manufacture sturdy, high quality and long lasting pools with innovative technology. The crystal clear water in a Holc natural pool is treated through an organic filter unit. Our customers enjoy luxury throughout the year. Relaxation of swimming and when you want, the pleasure of skating in winter. We create enthusiasm for the next decades.
Sustainable for an intact environment
We utilise nature carefully and respecfully. The wood used to construct our pool is exclusively from certified sustainable forestry, and the electrical energy used in the production is ecological. We tend to use energy efficient machinery and processes, operate with a resource saving attitude and use an ever increasing number of electrically operated vehicles. In this way we are contributing to the reduction of CO2 emmissions and care of the environment. It is for us and the next generation.
Sustainable for a flourishing region
The southern Carinthian region and its people are dear to our heart. This is why we are anxious to create secure jobs and to help strengthen the regional economy by purchasing locally and have a long term cooperation. We use locally sourced wood, ensure the transport distances are kept short and keep the added value within the county. This is to help our region to develop continuously.

The year of innovation
There was continuous research and development done in the young company. The first prizes for Innovation were won. The first staff were employed and Herbert Laßnig became a legally authorised technical expert for wood constructions. The trademark „Holc Naturpools“ was registered.

EFC-Certification and Eco-Companies & Building
We earned the PEFC-Certificate (The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) for sustainable forest management and wood processing, then becoming a partner of Eco-Companies & Building. Thereby comitting ourselves to upholding the highest grade of sustainability on site.

The company relocated to Völkermarkt and made its first step towards exportation
We built up our export business and made our first deliveries to Italy and Germany.

Winner of the Carinthian wood construction prize for the innovative application of wood

We are conquering Europe
Our export sales flourished. We delivered pools to Swizerland, Slovenia and and gradually all of Europe.
