Holc natural pools makes it easy for you water quality can be forgotten. The annual changing of water is not required because it is just unnecessary. The pool can be used the whole year round and only the organic filter unit may need a backswill when required.
The water in our Holc natural pool is clean and crystal clear – and all that without the use of chemicals. Continuous cleansing of the water is done through an ecological organic filter unit. This operates on the idolic principle of nature. The water is constantly in motion and forms a light biological film. This can be noticed over the course of time when too many nutrient get into the water. This can be easily cancelled out by backswilling the organic filter medium at certain intervals. A standard pool robot or vacuum is sufficient for cleaning the pool otherwise.
Looking after the water is easy. The water in a Holz pool is permanently pumped through an organic filter throughout the whole year. For this reason it is not necessary to change the water. The tedious emptying and filling of the pool annually is therefore not required. Nor is there any necessity to scrub an clean the sidewalls and floor of the pool after every summer season. That alone saves on water costs, time and energy. The water just stays in the pool the whole year round.

The filter medium is backwashed two to three times a year. The frequency of backwashing depends on nutrient input, water quality and bathing intensity. Most nutrients enter the water directly from the environment through wind pollution (e.g. pollen, Sahara dust or autumn leaves). But nutrients also remain in the water when swimming and splashing around. These nutrients are washed out of the filter by the backwash. In the first year of use of your Holc natural pool, our service team will carry out this backwashing for you as standard. In subsequent years, you can continue to enjoy our maintenance service as you wish - or you are welcome to carry out the backwashing yourself with the appropriate equipment.

During winter, just let the wooden pool freeze over. That’s what it was built for. When the ice gets thick enough then you can use this additional area to skate on. Just like that! When the ice melts in the spring then it’s time to get ready for the bathing season even as the last pieces of ice are just melting away in the sun. The water in the pool is clean and crystal clear ready for you to enjoy ecological swimming.
