Expansion Holcpools from Völkermarkt makes sustainable use of the pool boom
"Holc Naturpools" benefits from Corona as an expansion driver and therefore also has its own TV commercial: with actress Julia Cencig.

Luxury? "A Rolex is luxury. A natural pool is joie de vivre." Herbert Laßnig has been dedicated to the production and distribution of this joie de vivre since 2009, when he started his "Holcpools" in Völkermarkt. The initially daring idea with a narrow target group has developed into Austria's leading natural pool builder. Last year Laßnig sold 60 pools. This year it should be more than 100, the order books are full. The pandemic and the trend towards sustainability are playing into the pool builder's hands: More and more people can afford to enjoy life in their own garden. And Laßnig affords himself television advertising: on Servus TV the 47-year-old has placed spots with actress Julia Cencig, a native of Völkermarkt, while he sells pools all over Austria, Germany, Italy, Slovenia and even to Luxembourg and Switzerland.
Living water
Venice is the model for the "Holcpool": the wood always remains under water and thus sealed off from the air, so it does not rot. The company sources the wood exclusively from certified, domestic cultivation. "Accoya plantation wood from New Zealand is out of the question for us," says Laßnig. Behind the natural product, which is manufactured entirely in Carinthia, there is, of course, proven research work and international know-how. Laßnig is part of an international research cooperative. The focus is on water. "Every water is different, it is a living medium. And we recreate living water in our pools," says Laßnig. Planning is also done with the help of augmented reality: the garden is scanned, the (digital) pool is simply "pulled" into the plot. You can even get in digitally in advance.
